Poring over the work of Leonardo da Vinci in books and encyclopedias aroused my creativity and love of technology as a young kid. But now, seeing the actual pen and ink, looking at the texture and weave of the paper, following the train of thought in sketches and notes—and seeing it all really, really, up close—there is an experience that conveys for me an even deeper sense of LdV’s craftsmanship and passion (and we couldn’t believe how small the pages were in actual size!). This exhibit only solidified my awe at the man’s genius as an artist and a scientist.
It ends May 2, so go soon! Even if you can’t get into the artist, there’s a crazy room near the exhibit entrance with videos of people’s voice boxes as they talk. And skulls. Creepy.
